Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):   09/01/2006

  1. Enrolling:
  • Who can enroll?

Only verified Upper Merion High School Alumni may enroll.

  • Do I have to enroll?

No, but you will only have access to the 'public information:'

    • Names of class mates (the "Class List" - City & State - no other information).
    • Class events and announcements (if the information is available).
    • Class contacts & the Reunion Committee (if the information is available).
  • How do I gain access to more information on my class?

Enroll as an alumni for your class.  Complete as much "contact" information as possible, to include your e-mail address.  We use that e-mail address to send you a username and password.

The personal information you provide is kept private.  We do not / will not provide this information outside of your class - according to your wishes.  Because YOU will also have access to this information, you will be required to similarly respect the wishes of your class mates.

IF SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF THE CLASS WANTS TO CONTACT SOMEONE ON THE ALUMNI LIST, YOU MUST FIRST CONTACT YOUR FELLOW ALUMNI TO SEE IF CONTACT IS DESIRED.

Once you enroll, you will receive your username and password by e-mail... and you will use those to access the other portions of the site.  Your own information may not appear on the lists for a day or two because (at this time) all information is manually input.

  • How do I change or update my information?

Whether you've moved, changed ISPs and e-mail, got married, etc. - the simplest way to have your information updated is to "Enroll" again...

  1. What Now?
  • What are these "Lists" - Class List, Secure List?

There are three distinct lists for each class on the site:

  • Public List      -  A publicly open list of your classes alumni - names, city, & state
  • Secure List     - The public list, but also includes addresses, phone numbers, e-mails, etc.
  • Secure Excel  - Available ( FREE ) only to Class contacts.  The Secure List in spreadsheet format - so that you can sort, print, or modify it to suit your needs.
  1. Special Web Site Notes:
  • Information seems to be missing in the Excel spreadsheets, particularly "Street" and "E-Mail' columns.

This is the result of the conversion of the database to the spreadsheet.  All information is there.  All you have to do is widen each column to see the full information.

  • Can I use Microsoft Works to open the spreadsheets?

Yes.  Microsoft Works can read the information in the Excel spreadsheets.
