EMERGENCY CLOSING NUMBER
307
If schools are closed, UMASD’s school
closing number, 307, will be broadcast on KYW Newsradio 106-AM
and the Viking Channel, the district’s cable access channel.
An emergency closing is for a one-day
period. If schools must remain closed for another day, a second
announcement will be made. No announcement is made concerning the
re-opening of schools.
Occasionally, the Superintendent
determines that schools must be closed early. The information will be on
the Viking Channel. KYW Newsradio will be notified; however, the
district cannot guarantee that they will carry early dismissal notices.
The district’s information line, 610-337-6011, will also
provide emergency information when possible.
